Highways AU & UK Wrap-Up 2025

This year, Terrapin organised their Highways events to take place on the same days globally, meaning Team Traffio in both the UK and Australia were in full expo mode. Given that Australia is somewhat in the future, this article will wrap up the Australian event first!

Held at the ICC in Sydney last week, Nick, Anthony, Brad, Kat, Tara and Trinh attended the Highways AU Expo.

With Traffio’s significant footprint in Australia, particularly within the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) industry, expos like this are always a great opportunity for the team to reconnect with current customers while showcasing the software to those who are not yet users. They provide valuable opportunities to build relationships and learn about what’s changing across the road and infrastructure sectors in Australia.

Across the two days, the team spent valuable time catching up with customers, listening to feedback on how Traffio could be improved, and demonstrating how to use the software more efficiently. Visitors who weren’t yet customers were keen to see how Traffio reduces manual processes, increases visibility, and integrates with other platforms. The event also offered a chance to showcase some of Traffio’s current and upcoming integrations, as several partners were exhibiting at the event.

The highlight of the first day was the networking drinks, where after a day at the booth, it gave the team a chance to let their hair down and relax, before they headed out to the Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA) networking drinks.

The TMAA networking event, Traffic Connections, was brilliant and well attended. The whole exhibiting team joined in and had a fantastic time. The evening was filled with laughter, good drinks, and genuine conversation, a reminder of how collaborative and connected the TTM community is becoming. The networking allowed the team to continue catching up with customers, partners, and familiar faces. It was a well-organised and well-attended event

During the expo, the team also caught up with several integration partners, including Ben from SiteStory, Trevor and Adam from Solvable, Scott, Karl and the team from Webfleet, as well as industry friends Janine from A1 Roadlines, and Ash, Dan and the team from RPM Hire. These collaborations highlight how integrating leading technologies creates meaningful value for businesses in the TTM industry and beyond.

Over to the UK, and the UK team wrapped up an incredible few days at Highways UK, held at the NEC in Birmingham. Like the Australian event, the concept was the same: connecting with industry leaders, clients, and partners across the UK’s transport and infrastructure sectors. Representing Traffio were Jeff and Michael (with Danny sadly missing this expo), who showcased how Traffio helps businesses manage their people, plant, and fleet through one connected and digitalised platform.

Thousands of attendees interested in creating roads that are safer, smarter, and more sustainable attend this event each year. The expo, much like Highways AU, provides insight into the challenges facing the UK’s roads industry—which can differ significantly from those in Australia and other regions around the globe.

A key goal for the UK event was to continue expanding Traffio’s market presence across the UK and Europe. The discussions and interest at the event confirmed the growing demand for user-friendly, streamlined operational platforms. There’s always a strong flow-on effect from attending Highways UK, and it remains an essential part of Traffio’s growth strategy in the region.
