Taking a Moment to Celebrate International Women’s Day

At Traffio, empowering women isn’t something we reserve for one day of the year. It’s something that has naturally become part of how our business grows, evolves, and supports the people within it.

Still, International Women’s Day is always a great day to take a moment to pause and reflect on the incredible women who contribute to our team every day, and the women who also support the men in our business, including the partners, the daughters and the friends.

When we reflect on our team here at Traffio and how the business has evolved we can see something quite special has happened at Traffio. Without targets, quotas, or formal initiatives, our team has organically grown to 32% women, including a strong and growing presence in areas traditionally dominated by men, such as development and in our leadership team.

What’s even more exciting is seeing more women stepping forward, taking on new challenges, sharing their ideas, and helping shape the direction of the business. It hasn’t been forced or engineered, it has simply been the result of hiring great people, supporting them, and creating an environment where talent can thrive.

As Kat McDevitt reflects:

Their diversity, individuality, strengths, intelligence and empathy help shape Traffio and play a fundamental role in who we are as a company. It’s an absolute privilege and constant inspiration to work alongside so many wonderful women.”

That sentiment is shared across the business. Our founders have long recognised the impact strong, capable women have on building a resilient and forward-thinking team.

As Nicholas Inglis puts it:

“Women are an absolute powerhouse within Traffio. Their perspective, capability, and leadership continue to strengthen the way we build products, support our customers, and grow as a company.

The leaders in our company that I most want to emulate are all women. Ankita because she is brave, Sasha because she extrapolates perfect code, Tahni because she is elegantly forthright, Tara because she inspires, and Kat because she shows is all how to grow."

International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress doesn’t always come from grand gestures. Sometimes it’s the result of everyday moments, giving someone an opportunity, encouraging a new voice at the table, or recognising the value each person brings.

At Traffio, we’re proud of the women in our team, proud of the environment we’ve built together, and excited to see even more women step forward as we continue to grow.

Today we celebrate them and tomorrow we keep doing what we’ve always done: backing great people.

We celebrated this year with an in house lunch where our whole team go together and enjoyed some yummy food (first lunch).
